loving my Z4 and is the middle of the 3rd week since i got it... loving it every second...
since am livin is for away from whre i study i to travel every week to university.
befor the z4 i owned a vauxhall astra, 1.6sxi, which i assumed the trasvelling i do with the Z4 now will drink much more fuel than what the astra did to me. but what suprise me is the amount of money i use on fuel has actually cut down by a 3rd...

i wouldn't say because of the price of petrol go down make a big different, but as a student i am damn happy about it....

well, i've been paying of that 2006 astra, even tho vauxhall offer a no interest and deposite finance is raping every penny of me...
where as for the Z i found a better deal which work out is more affordable, so why not!
but insurance wise is kills!!!!!!

well been qoute for this year for just over 1k, since am still a student and my age and actually from Northern Ireland.
is pretty good for what am paying at the min.

well consider from when i started of driving 4 year ago, over in n.ireland insurance price are rediculous, due to amount of accident occur in a year.....

i was qouted 3k for my first car when i was only 18

I know of someone paying 2.5k for a Pug 106 valued at £1200. Crazy.

£1100 does seem slightly steep at 21 (?) for a 2.5. I had a VW Bora VR6 at Uni which was a 2.8, and that was £650. Then a 330 Sport after that which was £540. But if you are insuring it in Northern Ireland that makes more sense.

I too was quoted around £3k for my first car. So I bought a brand new Saxo with free insurance for £150/mo - cheaper than the insurance alone on an older banger...and yes this WAS acceptable -it was 1999, before the Saxo became chav, and I left it completely stock!

:)

Or what excess have you got?

I've just got new quotes - cheapest I've got is £354 with excess £250, living just outside the M25...

My excess is £400 :( To be honest the best quote for insurance i was getting to start with was around £700 it was only luck i was on the phone to BMW insurance to sort my weeks free insurance that came with the car that they asked me if i would like a quote and came back the cheapest.
