Hi all, new E85 owner here.
The car is a 2008 2.0L sport.
It's at about 100k now and the springs and shocks are all on their way out, so looking to replace them with something better than the OEM, without lowering any further than the factory sport suspension. Upon speaking to Bilstein it appears that their B8 shocks are the OEM replacement for the cars with factory sport suspension, but I can't get the kit with the Eibach springs since they have stopped doing springs for the 2.0L.
I've seen online that Suplex is a good option, and they're reasonably priced, but their catalogue has 2 rows for my car:
2.0L
2.0L with options
As far as I can see there's no further info available on what 'with options' actually means. I've emailed them 3 times over the past few months now and never get a reply, and when I ring they just tell me to email again and promise that they will reply this time. I've seen some comments online to say it has to do with the weight added by optional stuff like whether it's a manual or auto, whether it has air con etc. I've got the manual box and I do have air con, but I don't know whether this means I have to go for the firmer springs or not.
Anyone know which row in the catalogue I need to go for? Or know someone UK-based I can ring to find out? Alternatively, are there other springs that are a good choice for the 2.0L?
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer
