Supersprint street powerloop backboxes

Hi everyone, Now my M is off the road I am looking to tailor it more to my tastes and that includes a bit more rorty backboxes! The ones I have currently are lovely and subtle and only slightly louder than stock (they still have the loop back design to them). Looking for swaps for something like the RPI boxes as I want some more noise! These are hideously expensive new and really have only done about 4k miles so are still as new.

Well I would like enough to be able to buy some rpi tailpipes from the states so 900 for them seems about right.

half tempted to swap my RPI for these..... the noise is just too loud for what im after...... at least when i run these catless they'll still be relatively quiet. Any further pics of the actual mufflers please.... the main reason i love the rpi is the weight saving.....

Yes Byron! Yes!

or the other option is when russ fellows build my exhaust add a couple of small resonators to tone the noise down..... really want to keep weight down as much as possible. i love the look and the weight of rpi but the 100db noise is just down right annoying now for me and boost seems to make them louder..... next year im stepping upto a 3.0" for each bank with no cats...... will have a think!!!

Here is a pic of the box from underneath my car. They look to be a similar design to standard just with a bigger bore. I plan on soundproofing the boot floor when I add the RPI system as I hear the drone is quite bad.

Hmm ok, do you think putting sound deadening would help to muffle the deep resonation at around 2k RPM? I do like the way mine sound but I just want a bit more theatre!
Thanks the underside of the car you could eat off it is that clean.

Is that the total price for the RPI backboxes including import tax? If so, I will have a set if you can show me where to find.

Hey Beedub, bagsy firsties on those set of RPI exhaust you have when you want shut of them. I love noise and drone doesn't bother me cause I like to scream the hell out of my car 99% of the time. I'm going TS3 soon and would love a set of those to complement and to wake the neighbourhood and frighten the hell out of innocent pedestrians. :D

Cheers,

Al

you wont get a set of rpi over here for under 950 all in with deliver/taxes/importduty..... probably abit more actually... in usa they sell instantly they come up used too as they are very popular due to weight.

will do, think ill just go catless and add 2 large resonators to get rid of the drone.... the noise is awesome, the drone.... omg.... it vibrates my eyelashes!!

After a bit of deliberation I think I might keep these now. Most other exhausts I have heard you can't really make out the induction note which IMHO is the s54 party piece!
