Looks like a gate post or a bollard to me. it too tall to be a vehicle and its rough. not what you would expect from another vehicle bumper IMHO.

Dario - that was my exact reaction the moment I saw the photo. Almost certainly caused by a bollard, grazing a wall, metal door/garage frame, etc. It's too vertical and too tall for a car. Too short for a manoeuvring car and I see no paint transfer onto the Zed. I believe it was caused by braying forward too close to a low bollard, judging by how it ends so abruptly top to bottom.

Not at all, a 4x4 could have done damage like that. I had a little civic a few years ago and a Discovery rubbed down the side of it with tyre marks up by the passenger door handle.

Ignoring the stupid/unhelpful comments nightyard, I actually think I would know if I hit something, I don't think I'll bother updating this post anymore... Thank you all apart from the few who added ridiculous comments ..

Not experts by any means. Just doesn't make any sense to me. Just an opinion and that's what forums are all about.

Get the CCTV footage, find the impacting vehicle paint, describe me any vehicle that can make those marks and I'll be the first to eat my proverbial har

Went into a supermarket but reversed into space leaving front exposed to damage, surely you'd go front in so that boot is accessible for shopping??????

I pretty much always reverse into any space I park in. The parking sensors help 'see' kerbs to a degree, whereas I am just ace at misjudging the length at the front and kissing a kerb... Oh, and I don't use the Z for major shopping trips

Nope, I always reverse in. I don't want to damage the front bumper on a kerb and the PDC is always helpful getting it tucked in
