Supermarket parking

I never park mine in the middle of a row, always an end space. A good strategy is to try and park nearest to the car park entrance.

Pardon the language but this is a good insight into some people's parking

The other day parking in Truro multistorey car park, it was about half full, five levels, decided to park on the top level to avoid door damage. I was the only vehicle up there, the deck below was quarter full, thinking no-one will come up here, went into town for an hour & came back to find a sh###y little hatch back 10 inches away from my passenger door.
Glad it's not just me these things happen to!

It seems my car has taken all the knocks for yours Jonny. Dont think i have a single panel without an issue of some kind.

I was late for my flight out yesterday, so made the stooooopid error of parking in the closer short stay car park...

My S8 doesn't even fit in their tiny spaces... and I've had to park it in the middle of a row between a 4x4 and a people carrier...I'm right on the width lines and the front end is hanging out as the space is too short...

I'm not looking forward to getting home again tomorrow.... can't see how it won't have damage on it...if the other people are back before me... :(

a few months ago I got a parking ticket from a car park in Northampton.... 240 odd spaces, 3 cars in it and I got a ticket for 'not parking within the bay'

even their own photos showed that the space is physically too small for my car to fit in there... plus, after a bit of detective work, I found out that their spaces are smaller than the council guidelines.....

a strong letter was sent and I've heard nothing since...

it's a joke.... :wall:

I would have taken the end space and straddled the cross a bit ...

Tell them about your beers on a ferry episode!!!

Equaled to my trip to Jersey where I forced the passenger to climb out of the driver's side door? :D For some reason, Mrs PVR was nowhere to be seen when I prevented the door from being opened by standing against it :D

I order from the Tesco website and get it delivered! Cheaper than getting dents fixed and you often get food free by mistake!

Every new car I have had for years now ends up with a door damaged dent of some kind, include my latest the Evoque! That was in a car park and someone opened a door on it. I'd only had it for 2 weeks! Dent Devils got it out and you can't see it but it still cost me £60!

Got to say I will not let my wife take the Z anywhere near a supermarket car park. I've seen how battle scarred her Freelander is and also how inconsiderate shoppers on a mission can be. Have to say my German MD can't understand why we Brits don't respect another’s property and bitterly complains about damage to his A6 caused by others. He also cites our parking bay sizes as a contributory cause and I guess with many cars getting bigger so the situation will only worsen.

That is the problem with the Evoque! It's actually around 50mm shorter than a new Ford Focus but it's a lot wider! I had a very interesting drive up a 70's style multi story car park in Pool!! It only just got up the ramps between floors, never mind in a parking space! I had to park in a wider "family" bay just so I could get out of the car!!

I,m that OCD when it comes to parking in supermarkets , I go shopping during the night @ a 24hr Tesco and even then I park away from any other cars
Sounds like its more like CDO, a deeper set condition of OCD, only in alphabetical order. :poke:
