Superman - Man of steel

Superman has been done to death with all the tv series and previous movies, but I thought the movie was good enough to see as its got yet another perspective, good entertainment, could have easily been much longer film if they explored all the story details

I quite liked the Hans Zimmer soundtrack, decent replacement for the original score :thumbsup:
 
I couldn't understand why his dad kept popping up. :o

Was this just a ploy to make Russel Crowe's part bigger.

Oh - the ending was just pure unadulterated CGI effects and much overdone in my opinion. :x
 
Totally loved it - best super hero film in ages. Certainly better than all the Dark Knight films, which I loved at the time. In my old age I tend to judge films by the times they make me cry! Three times in this case :oops:
 
Possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Would have walked out, except we were in the middle of a row, and the theater was packed. We got in for free, and I still feel I over paid. Two hours of my life I'll never get back....
 
Just got back from watching it and wow, I was hooked as soon as I saw him semi clad.....Hubba Hubba Hubba :D

By far and away the best Superman film ever, loved the premise and it made lots of sense, Zod was not evil just DNA'd to be a single minded soldier with one goal, protect the people of Krypton. That would have been enough to make it a good movie, but Henry Cavill is just supurb as others have said he IS Superman.

Btw, saw the 2D version, think the 3D would be a bit much with the cgi
 
Watched it on Sunday, wasn't very impressed, kinda thought the back story went on a bit too long, and the action which went on a bit long was all at the end.

Probably sounds harsh - I think maybe the follow up would be better now everything is in place - I don't think it needed 2.5hrs to tell the story of him starting at tim daily planet lol

Would rather have watched a few episodes of the Dean Kane series!

The new film "now you see me" (think that's it) was advertised and looked very good - a friend who has a cinema pass thing saw a screening and reckons it's the best film he's seen in a long time.
