...give me your insurance companies number please....

+1 cheers

hmmm giving CCI a call monday :-) they seem to deal with "track" and competition type cars, this also includes trackday coverage as well!!!
these sound like my guys.....

other than that everyone else had firmly said NO....

Yep! I get "What's a supercharger? I'll have to speak with my manager..."
Then a huge wait followed by "Sorry sir, we cannot cover you with one of those"

Let me know how you get on

Have you tried REIS? I'd be very surprised if they don't cover you on this. Bolting a Supercharger to your car is surely less sever than swapping out a 1.8 na K Series for a Turbo Charged 20v motor effectively doubling the bhp? Thats what REIS covered me in my Elise for. Didn't even blink an eye. Great prices too. They also include cover for 4 track days a year as well

The insurance is through Chaucer and having just gone through the claims process with them (a large one!) I've got no complaints there either. In fact I've just insured the M3 with Chaucer (via Sky)

{"]£1000!!! 8) Can't argue with that.

absolutely awesome!!! Very pleased!! At least i know the car will be 110% protected as my company insurance worry me, they way they've dealt with a recent claim is flat out worrying...

That's amazing!!!! Thanks for spreading the word guys
Think I'll be calling them too, but it will have to wait a couple of weeks until after my exams :x
Of course, if they say yes at a sensible price, I'll have to start some serious saving :P

mark thanks for the headsup..... will be taking that insurance on tommorrow :-)

And as a F you to Stavely head fleet im pulling my company insurance from them tomorrow as well :-)

wahooo now insured through Reis :-) Awesome!!!! im allowed 4 trackdays a year!!! my unofficial days at curborough are not insured however :-(
i sent them pics of the car and we agreed value @ 36k :-) Even better i set the power rating @ 600rwhp (higher than it actually is) so i can now move into the vt3 kit :-) And not need to notify these guys!!!

Nice company to deal with and i felt they were a small firm so they have the personal touch, i dealt with the same guy from start to finish...

The current plan is to sell the car in september however..... This will be a very hard decision but thats where im heading at the moment...

That's a big shame since you've invested so much of yourself in that car. You must have some big plans...

Please let me know when you're planning to sell it if I haven't got things in place to fit a SC to mine by then :P

yeah i know it may very well not happen to be honest...... we'll see.... if you do go s/c route i can promise it will be one of the best things youll do.... its simply one thing i have no regrets about....

the plan is jump into either the new 2012 trackspec GTR and go for a big build (alpha 10 turbo kit) or m3 GTS then ess supercharge it....... depends how business is as its really up and down at the moment.... Either way the z4m is a car that has captured my heart, kept me sane during really difficult periods of my life and kept a huge smile on my face.... ive got a big bond with it (sad i know) but i have.... we'll see..... will i be able to sell it?? only time will tell.......

Is it worth selling it? Surely its worth more to you than selling it and putting that money into the described cars.

Id wait a little longer and have both

its worth absolutly worth more to me than selling..., its more the logistics of keeping 2 very expensive cars ehrn they would get tiny use, and having to leave one of them at my moms house ect ect.... its pointless.... with a company car, a daily hack, and a beast in the garage, adding ANOTHER expensive car is pointless and financially silly, ive done it once and couldnt afford it.
im a firm believer that living within my means is far more important really, plus add my 10month old son into the equation and every penny counts really.....

like i say we'll see at the time, but if i sell it ,it will only be to help fund something very special..... i cant be without my toy car in the garage.... they really help keep my spirits high...
if im honest, ive made the performance of the z4m silly as now to better it is pretty much out of my price range for an off the shelf car....... BUt... i may well just keep the car till i can afford to get my real dream, a mp4 12-c, with the sale of my flat (renting out long term) picking up a used one would be a real possibilty in a few years, i really need to look at it, but i wont lie.... 85% chance that the z4m will stay with me till i cant drive anymore.... i may just carry on modding and modding and modding, its so fun to drive the car with all the changes, make a new change, test it, work out the wrinkles and so on and so on.... it really is exciting.

Good eveing
Im new to this forum...ive been reading some of the blogs and i found in very informative so thank you...I just bought a z4mc and will have it delivered Monday coming im intrested in having a few mods done on the car i was hoping for some advice..things ive looked at are csl alloys, rpi exhaust, strut brace, and later on thinking of super charger..i was hoping you guys can advise me..Mr beedub how much you pay for the super charger

Thanks guys

current exhchange rate makes this very expense, your probably better off trying t find a used kit right now.

yeah thats about right.....

maybe a touch more once the car is al buttoned up and actually handed to you.

An e-bay resistor gives almost unlimited power, evidently, and only costs a few pence?

I've fitted back seats in mine, which I then fold flat to improve aerodynamics, weight distribution and top speed :P
