Supercharged VX220 to swap/deal for Z4m!

I appreciate what you are saying, for OEM it is perfect. But if you are happy with having a modified car.. then mine is lighter, 50hp more, suspension is better, wheels are lighter (and 16/17 inch not the 17/17 vauxhall fitted as it looked good, but it improvised handling)

my 0-60 is also substantially faster.

It depends what you want in a car really, If OEM is what you want then the VXR is fast. If you want cheaper, faster and (imo) better looking then a modified car is what you want :)

Horses for courses. If you're after the ultimate hardcore track weapon yours seems to be the mutts.

If you're after a bloody quick OEM spec car with rock solid residuals the VXR might be the way to go

missed the second page of comments with the track picture comments.

The car is basically a road legal track car. Its made to be able to take abuse, but hasn't even been pushed remotely close to the limit. The car is bombproof.

Steve, you are more than welcome to take her out :)

they are not as bad as you may think, once you are in they are surprisingly comfortable (as they hold you so securely)

Like the Elise the VX is built for the track. So people actually doing trafk days in them is pretty common

Its not like you can go and do the xmas shopping in one is it :D

Lovely car, and you will love the Z4M if you decide to get one :)

I wish I could justify buying this but I have to stop spending money buying / modifying cars! The VX220 is one of several cars I've been pondering over and watching prices for a while - yours is a cracking example and worth the asking price for sure. Good luck with the sale - please sell it quickly before I have a moment of weakness

I might take you up on that, where are you based?

A guy in my office has an OEM spec NA VX220 and that's pretty raw as is

I think he was referring to me

Thanks for the offer. Might try and find a dealer near me and take one for a spin.

Anyone is more than welcome :)

srHutch, I kept seeing people saying Steve after you posted.. I guessed the S at the start was for Steve, is that not your name? haha

tis indeed which is why I said to Steven I thought it was aimed at me. If you were close I would take you up on you offer and you could have a go in mine.

My main concern with 220's is the hardcore, and is it too much. Countryside blasts are fine, but as a motorway cruiser I'm guessing not so much.

Well that would worry me more with the low milage, how many of those miles are track miles. Just my 2 cent.

Maybe I'm just being naive with the type of car it is.

Hope you never want a GT3RS tom!! :)

I really do want a trip through Europe and up to Scotland etc.

But that's why I need to drive one. The zed can be bad enough, especially on 19's with a strut brace.

It would get a bit crowded at the back end of the Z cruises with all the defectors

The engines are not impressive but the performance is, I had the lowly S model with only 134bhp & even with that amount of power it was near as dammit as quick 0-60 as a 3litre zed (5.9) and thats before you get near the corners when it would just disappear :driving:
One of the ultimate drivers cars imho, it's just not as nice to live with as a zed
