Supercharged or NA?

Hi all! Hopefully some good advice here.

My coupe was modified with a supercharger..
Brings about 450 hp.
The extra zip is nice but not used too often so
I'm thinking to go back to original.

Have all the bits to do so.
Thoughts?

The question is, after going to all the effort and expense, don’t you think you might miss it once it’s removed?

Fwiw, I’d stick with the charger. In fact, I’d probably look at ways to get another 100hp

Guess the main benefit would be less maintenance required. The S54 is as sweet as they come out of the box from the period. No doubting you could sell the kit on too. 340bhp is plenty on the road. So unless your tracking the car then it's only really top trumps down the pub where your getting much benefit.

I can't help but think you will miss it when it's gone though.

you'll get good money for the ess kit.... its really highly regarded and the only one (in stage 2 plus) to use an A/A intercooler where others are water setups. its also extremely expensive to get over here. you'll sell it in a heart beat. personally id leave it on as during normal driving , its not even noticeable.

Unless I really wanted to return the car to stock I'd leave the supercharger on - it's a quality installation.

It's not like you have to use the extra power, but it would be nice to have the option!

If you do decide to remove it I'd be happy to give it a new home.

The People have spoken.
So shall it be.
I'll keep the car as is...

My idea to go back to stock was partly inspired by our collector insurance regs. Original only.

Also... I think people would pay more for a correct example.
If and when I let this beauty go, will consider again.

beedub: Good eye! And yes..its a beautiful piece of kit.
Thanks to all!

Just when you think there is nothing new to ask about these cars someone comes up with "should I detune my car?"

It looks like a thing of beauty, definitely keep the blower and my guess is that you would sell the car just fine with a quality installation like that.
