Yea, I know.

I have to go to New England all the time. I usually spend three months a year in Groton, CT. or Kittery, MA. with a bunch of 10-24 day trips up there also. Before 1999, you could not find a Pats fan. All were Giants or Jets fans if they routed for a 'home' team. All of a sudden there were a 'cubic butt ton' of Pats fans.... They just 'beemed in" from somewhere else. Go figure... and to top it off, they are the most obnoxious fans of the lot.

Then they started calling NE a 'Dynasty" after only five years.... God it was disgusting...

I do have several friends up in NE that have always been Pats fans, and I tip my hat :hattip: to them because they were fans for years when the Pats could not win a game on a bet... so there 'enthusiasm' is understandable....

While I cannot lie, I DO LOVE the Patriots...but they were very cockey and deserved a piece of humble pie...serves them right! :poke:

Fire n' Ice, we have been humbled. After living through lean times for 30 years I guess the 3 superbowls made us feel a little invinceable.

Actually, all things being equal, I think the Pats had a better team.

EVERYBODY said that the Giants were going to lose... They had nothing to lose. So they didn't. They just reached down and found something that they only touched upon during the season, yanked it up and used it.... I think they just wanted it more.

I wonder how much money was lost in Patriot's memorabilia (shirts, caps, etc.) that read 19-0. Obviously, it came out 18-1.

That is funny.

What isn't is that, years from now, most people will not remember just how good the Pat's were during the regular season, and will only remember their loss in the SB...

I disagree. Just look at Marino this year, all his past records are now being brought up and discussed. They are quoted and being met or surpassed by either Peyton, Brett and Tom. Just as Marino all of Bretts, Toms, Eli and Peytons will get surpassed. This near perfect year for the Patriots will go along with the milestones that where met and exceeded. I hope I can live to see this happen again (probally in the nursing home with my remote control Z4). These guys are lucky to get the Super Bowl monkey off their back so early in their career. My two cents!

Some of us win or lose, are long time Patriots fans!
