Hi,

has anyone on here fitted one of these superchargers from G-POWER.de to their Z4 I'm thinking about it, about €3k plus vat for 45 extra HP ?? mm not so sure now , comments !

G-POWER supercharger system SK Plus RS "Sporty Drive"
Basis: Z4 2.2i/M54, 170 hp (125 kW) increased to 215 hp (158 kW)/ 245 Nm
Basis: Z4 2.5i/M54, 192 hp (141 kW) increased to 240 hp (176 kW)/ 290 Nm
Basis: Z4 3.0i/M54, 231 hp (170 kW) increased to 306 hp (225 kW)/ 360 Nm

Surley at 3k plud what ever rise you get in your insurance premium you can just sell the 2.2 and buy a 3.0 or an m o any other car

Only worth doing if you have a 3.0 or an ///M the money you'd spend on a 2.2l then supercharging it would be the cost of a decent 06 plate ///m anyway.

I say go for it :thumbsup: but what dose the kit include? I m hopping to SC mine next year with a diy kit. Old XKR charger and one fiddling I was hopping to more than 306bhp from my 3.0l

If you love your car but want more power why the hell not. :thumbsup:

The reason I'm thinking about it rather than going for a Z with a bigger engine is because of the outrageous road tax we have in Ireland, €2300 per year for a 3.2 litre engine.

The insurance will only go up by €100 for a 3.2 litre so probably less than that for a 45hp increase..hopefully ? (have to check that)
Just want a little bit more power ..you know we always want more !

Hi MM here's what I'll get :-

Belt Drive:
ultra stiff CNC shaped supercharger bracket system made from cast aluminium including an extended
support-aggregate belt drive for the supercharger's drive;
Air Intake Manifold:
racing air filter;
flow optimized clean air intake with large diameters made from cast aluminium;
standard throttle valve is positioned in front of the supercharger inlet;
-> this layout of the air mass control in partial load improves the fuel consumption
Forced Induction:
ASA T3-313 supercharger;
supercharger lubrication through bypass from motor oil circuit;
flow optimized tubing with large diameter made from cast aluminium;
boost level approx. 5.8 psi rel.;
Fuel Management/Electronics:
adaptation of the software of the standard electronic engine control unite (BMW OBD remains fully
preserved).

always wanted to ultimately get an ZMR but I'm not going to give the government €2300/year in road tax for the privlege, so I've decided to keep mine and give it a boost ! :D

Seems like a lot of stuff. Don't get hung up on CNC machined parts. It seems to be a buzz word that men's quality!! It one not. But it seems as though its got a hole kit everything needed :thumbsup:

The pressure is not crazy high so the engine Gould hold up. But you are asking more of everything pistons con rods and so on. Sounds fun I am guessing this is a centrifugal type charger? So works similar to a turbo I think??

Hi MM,

I'm a bit old to get excited about CNC machined parts and it's orange, I'd prefer it to be more OEM colour... aluminium colour !

yeah similar to a turbo to look at, but the power is more linear obviously :)
her's the website...have a look:-http://www.g-power.de/926.html?&L=1&carid=16000

Just ff out but will look tomorrow. But my idea of how a centrifugal charger pressure/performance increases with revs ie more like a turn that a twin screw charger Easton type? You could always sandblast it get the paint off?? Or spray it black?

yeah you're dead on about the S charger,different ways off doing the same thing just like there are differnt types of pumps but they do the same thing.

It's linear as in more revs more boost not like a turbo where there are peaks and it's "G" for a reason because it's that shape !

Contact them i bet it could fit :evil:

Get one i can mod the bits for you we should see if we can get a discount on a group buy. Although i cant afford one any time soon :(

Or simple swap the engine, 3.0 will go straight and only cost £8-900

OK I'll say it again ...

Still sound like waist of money by tuning 2.2 engine,

I don't agree Marius If you have a car you love and want to keep why not? I can see where your coming from i want more power but don't want an ///M i want a different power delivery than a the revvy m engine.

Plus a lot of people would say what you did to your car was pointless. But they are our own cars and if its what we want then why not.
