Super-camera shows how light moves

Scientists in the US have built a camera that can show light moving by taking pictures with an exposure time one billion times shorter than a normal camera.

It's using computers to extrapolate, but quite incredible. It can see around corners too 8)

It shows a series of animated photon bursts edited into a movie not from what I understand a movie of the actual transition of a single set of photons, significantly different concepts.

Significant and fantastic non the less but I believe Heisenberg remains unviolated.

Yes it does seem to be a series of snapshots with a lot a computational processing, but impressive nevertheless.

I don't see an issue with stringing together a series of snapshots to create what's effectively a moving image. Isn't that how movie film worked? I do suspect he took thousands of shots to get the one's he needed for a flow from left to right.

The 'lens' speed and computational power to drive this stuff is awesome.

This sort of thing boggles my mind - if that's a bunch of photons, then all the reflections on the bottle must also be photons, but how do they get to the side and end of the bottle to reflect and where are those photons in the picture ? i think i have hit my personal Wall of Stupid :lol:

Complete genius though - amazing how they can capture such slow motion images.
