Good thread Bing Love sunsets I may have photographed a few to many over the years. One of the fortunate downsides of spending many many evening at the beach. Will do some hard drive searching and post few shots.?

There's some great pics guys - you have put my original post to shame, well done

I use my second from last one as my iPad lock screen, but there's a couple on here I might pinch

Some great shots in this thread. A few of mine taken on the iphone in recent weeks (sucker for a good sunset or sunrise!)

Pretty much any DSLR that fits in your budget from Canon or Nikon. For something different maybe what they call a Bridge Camera, most of a DSLR but an attached lens, usually with a massive zoom capability. Not quite in the same class as a decent DSLR but may give you more options or at least the opportunity to learn.

I use one of these http://www.ukdigitalcameras.co.uk/d...=39c75107f8071b6e6dc26bc155f65a57&fo_s=gplauk

Used to take the sunset, massive zoom ability.

Thanks. Pics taken using Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens (hence the bit of distortion). It was a great light! Just pulled the colours and shadows up a bit in Light-room and added a touch of sharpness.
