Took #308 out to visit one of Wiltshire's white horses - can anyone guess which one? Not hard for any Moonrakers.

Here is a view from the car park at the top.

When I got home a parcel had arrived from Bilt Hamber so the afternoon was spent washing, applying Korrosol & claying. Today after a polish & wax here is the result. Still have a lot to learn but I am quite pleased with the result.

and thanks to 2alpsade I now have Alpina letters that aren't falling off & stripes. Thanks Ade you did a great job sorting out the nasty old letters

I can think of where it is .... If that gets any points. The one north east of devizes? I'm not from the area originally ... That's my excuse.

The zed however looks immaculate. Hopefully I'll catch you on these roads at some point.

Westbury White Horse? Lived in that area most my life and wasn't aware there was more than one!

Thank you for all the nice comments about #308 :)
Yes it is the Westbury white horse, well spotted. The car park above is at Bratton Camp an iron age hill-fort & lovely spot for walking & admiring the scenery.
Yes Wiltshire has 8 white horses & in the Devizes area you will usually have one in your sights. Wiltshire even has a 90 mile White Horse trail for walkers which takes in the 8 horses.

Gorgeous! Lovely car

One Q - what springs do the Alpina's have? Ride height seems quite high at the rear?

Can't answer that one myself, perhaps Perry can comment. When #308 was in at Redish Motorsport for an oil service James checked the spring condition for me. They didn't look to be anything special but James thought they may have been replaced at some time but appeared to be OEM BMW ones.

I might be in Devizes tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled - car is not quite as shiny as I had to go out in the rain today

The RS uses standard rear shocks & springs but the front is Alpina specific
