Update......Now looking to have a meeting somewhere not too far from Stirling,in PERTH,at aprox. 8.30/9a.m,and from there heading to Dundee area and beyond, taking in some nice roads, enjoying nice scenery, having Lunch, etc and a natter as usual :D :driving:
As usual,it will be about an hour's Driving, aprox.,before a wee toilet break then onto the Road to our Lunches stop, with a couple of hours driving inbetween....After lunch it's the final part of our drive before heading back to the Finish point to say our goodbyes,at about 4.30p.m.

PLEASE POST IF YOU STILL ARE ATTENDING, GIVEN THE CHANGE OF LOCAL,cheers :D

(APPLECROSS OR SKYE WILL NEED TO WAIT ,FOR NOW.)

The route will be a bit shorter than my other runs, but still about 4 to 5hours driving and about 30mins for toilet/comfort stop(s) and upto 2hours all in for Lunch. So not too long a day,for those who are travelling from further afield

UPDATE..2..Due to lack of accommodation, etc in Applecross, that will have to wait to another time.
Now planning a One day drive,as opposed to an overnighter.

Location will be in and around Stirling as a Start point, heading to Dundee area and doing a nice wee route from there to a few other places along the way...Route info will be given on the day.

It's now on SUNDAY 20th August,Start time around 8.30/9a.m.(TBC), depending on final route. :driving:

Let me know who wants to come to this, and I will confirm meet point in PM's in due course, cheers
But,tbh, meet point for Scottish meets over the years have usually been about 60-90minutes from my neck of the woods, usually Stirling s,North of Glasgow,or South Quensferry/Edinburgh,etc., Lol.
Will get meet place pm'd soon.

Let me know who wants to attend,Thanks  :driving:

I would vote for Applecross as the Mallaig and Skye runs are my local runs 8)

That said I want to do the whole NC500 next year as I have never done it in a trip although done a lot of the individual roads.

You are going for it this year Craig

Either for me

Be great t catch-up with you again,Tony

How's the M going now,all good,mate?
Bit of a delay in getting the diff replaced - currently at the garage awaiting fitment.

So I'm off to the 'Ring next week in the M-basher JTD Alfa.

Could be up for this in 2017. Would prefer Applecross as I've never been. Cheers Craig

That's a bugger....how long until it's all fixed, and is the diff the last thing to do?

My spanner monkey is now off for two weeks, and is getting a new floor and lift installed, so it's going to be about 4 weeks until I see it again.

Didn't really want to go to the ring in wintry November in a car I'd not driven in anger for 6 months

Another for Applecross! Will depend on dates.

Are there certain dates in June or August you can't do,mate?

If so,let me know and we can hopefully avoid them,as with anyone else
Hopefully we can get a date that suits everyone who wants to come :D :driving:

I won't really know till the new year Craig, have to wait for the weekend shifts being finalised!

Looking like Applecross is the favourite.....will get a route looked at......may want a joint effort on some of these meets,as there are enough regulars now to make it a joint effort again

Will add you,Mike and Janet

Do you mean having a couple of groups with meet points on the way?

If this is what you mean I agree for an Applecross drive as too many cars at once could be a problem.

No,nothing as complex as that, just one group, but was meaning I may ask for some help from some of the Scots regulars like you,Rich,Mike, etc etc as in help finalising r going over the routes nearer the time, tyats all I meant.

It has been a few years since I have driven Applecross, etc so may need some help nearer the time, thats all mate :driving:
