Sump gasket replacement.

Hi. Does the replacement of the gasket require the bolts to be replaced? Having had a look around I’ve got myself confused on if it does or doesn’t. Mine is a manual N52.

I think if they have blue paint on the head they are aluminum, torque to yield, so it is better to spend money on new ones rather than risk a bolt shearing off. This is my one

Thanks, Raymond. Is yours a manual N52?

Yes, a manual 2.5 N52. I think I think perhaps the automatics may have an aluminum sump with steel bolts from what I have read with other models. Loctite is also advised
