Nice work, especially for doing it by hand, Few small swirls on second last pic.. not severe though.
engine bay is suuuuuuuuuuuuper clean well done matey

Never noticed them in the pic should not have told me wont sleep now   she needs a machine polish as i bought her at 3 years old so would imagine BMW gave her the once over with a rotary :( did think of buying a dual action polisher but trying to spot swirls on a silver car outside is a nightmare.

Cheap LED torches are good for spotting swirls. or you could take a few pics of car at night at a petrol station and then youll know where to look.
dont beat urself up about the swirls crackin job done mate...

Absolutelly briliant. I thought I am the only one that is crazy.. but no I am not :))))

It is but got stung for around £20 from good old customs charged around £8 just to release the parcel then other taxes :x but it was worth it

Looking good Gaz. Always nice to see some reflection shots, this doesnt dissapoint. You say you used meguiars last touch on the interior?

GAZA62, bookmarked this a little while ago, is the benchmark for a Titanium Silver detail IMO. Actually, for a Z4 detail full stop. Great work

Yes on the black plastic scott strange really as its a gloss enhancer well i thought it was i used it as my final wipe until i discovered the superb SP V2 but still use it on door shuts and glass and as a lube for claying.

I always used AG Fast Glass for windows and flat black plastics such as interior or engine bay but one day by chance i used Megs LT and it drys with a matt finish so still looks OEM :D result more uses for good ole Megs LT thats why i think its one of the best QDs out there so fast compared to my SP V2 which takes a little longer.

I use Megs neat by the way.

Thank you kind sir

I suppose I can understand to a degree there Gaz as last touch has silicones in it and from a techie perspective, if it doesnt over gloss the trim the polymers will aid protecting them also. Might just have a try on my van and see what the finish is like ( before trying on a clients car and it go pete tong  )

Don't lose too much sleep that result is totally stunning, a brand new car would not come that well prepared. A credit to you and an inspiration to the rest of us! And for what it's worth, I can't see any swirls either. Actually I can, but the only ones I can see are circular patterns in the stone paving of your driveway - perfectly reflected in the mirror like finish of your paintwork!!
Come Springtime I am going to use your method and product list as a guide. I've just bought my 1st Z4, a coupe in Titanium silver. I also noticed that my disc and calipers really let the car down and intend to redo them. Do you use a specific paint for that job? I've been recommended thinned down smooth Hammerite silver, but based on what I've seen so far I would value your advice above all other :D

Maybe another step by step guide with photos when you do yours please?

Cheers

Al.

Awesome Gaza. I'm ashamed. I thought about washing and polishing my Z after some roof down fun yesterday as its relatively dirty for me......but I walked the dog (literally) instead.

Had my Z 6 months now, guess the first flush of ownership is wearing thin - but I'm inspired.

Also interested in the brake calipers issue. Bare in mind that I've never taken a wheel off a car before - would this be a job that a numpty like me could consider undertaking?

Thanks gents for the kind words makes the hard work worth while.

This is the last time i did my calipers below they need doing again before summer but still look OK
