.As for unions, I think I agree with the Sky stance on those. Sounds like you already have support anyway.
If you have to explain how precious the car is to you, and how the other guy might react if you had done a similar thing to something precious of his.
Do be careful with HR though, they can go on a mission sometimes without really understanding the situation good enough (ie, they'll read from a book of HR incompetence or HR Bullsh*t procedures instead).
THink a well known investors once said all companies would do better without two things - HR departments and UNions. I agree completely, although occassionally HR can serve a company well, but not often enough IMO (end up wasting ££££ for a start)

Good Luck Nosa, hope it goes well for you. The other guy was obviously in the wrong, so why they're dragging you into a HR meeting I'll never know. Stay calm, and if it escalates mention the words 'bullying' and 'harassment', that'll put the wind up them. After all, he was sitting on your car, so he should be dragged up, not you. All you did was challenge him with strong-ish language - if he doesn't like it, he shouldn't have been anywhere near your car. Besides, I imagine he's heard a few harsh words in his time, we all have - the only thing you've offended is his ego, he was made to look a d*ck in front of his mate.

My boss opened by letting them know about my passion for my car and the amount of time effort and money I spend on it so they would Know we were not talking about some random POS
Something I had neglected to pick up on yesterday was whilst he was outside he was smoking, he was not however in the alocated smoking area. HR were brought in as he had made a complaint of the language I had used towrds a senior member of Staff and he wanted an apology and he would let it go at that. At that point the 2 hr people, my boss & the asshole looked at me fully expecting an apology. I made a point of staring back and not saying a word, One of the HR guys then asked me if I would like to apolgise, I replied No, I have nothing to apologise for, where as he does, he showed a complete lack of respect for my property which was correctly parked and was deliberatly parked away from the smoking area so that it does not get ash all over the soft top, the exec had chosen not to comply with company policy and decided to smoke outside the area and to use my car as a bench in the process, so please point out to me what ihave to apologise for.
Once it was pointed out he had been smoking outside the smoke area they ajourned for 5 and I was asked to leave the room.
I was outside the room and could hear raised voices and the odd word of "nonesense" "wasting our time" and similar could be heard.
When I was asked to come back in they said "In light of the circumstances we will not be persuing the matter any further and we are happy to let it go at that". I think they were expecting me to drop to my knees in apprecaition, I nstead Itold them that i was not happy to let it go at that and I wanted a full and sincere apology from the exec for abusing my property. There was a long pause, and one of the guys from HR gave the exec a stern look and said "I think it would be in the best interests of all concerned that you accept that this matter was of your own doing and in order not to waste anymore of the companys time that he offer me the apology. His eyes went down and then came the apology slightly sarcasticaly. Ithen thanked him and said. I appreciate that and respect his position in the company, but as you now know I am very particular about my car and I am sure you can appreciate how I felt when I saw you sitting on it. I then apologised for my language but said I offer no apology for having a go at you for doing it, We shook hands and went back to school. My Boss was over the moon as he hates this particular individual was well chuffed it was one of his team that took him down a peg or two. Now all i have to worry about is my pending redundancy.

Cheers, Would say though Boss was only on my side as he does not like the guy, But he did also comment that if it had been him he would have decked him after work
