again, depending on the kind of fun... what about a fun oldtimer? Might keep it's value much better and a very different experience as compared to the Zed.
VW Corrado VR6, the upcoming calssic in my opinion and might leave you some money to get her in great condition
Lancia Delta Integrale, another good classic, but not sure if it is reliable?
The unloved Porsche 944 Turbo, great cars and still good value for money
Jaguar XK8 (ugly interior though)
BMW M3 oldtimer, not sure whether the newer ones really keep their value
Those would be my options taking into account the short timeframe you want to keep it.
If you would keep it for a longer period of time, I would defnitely go for a Porsche 911 oldtimer...
