Suddenly handling like a pig

My car has the Bridgestone RFT's and I've sorta got used to the tram lining etc but recently I hit a fairly major pothole that was so severe I stopped to check the wheel was still there! Everything seemed in place but out in the car today the thing is almost undriveable. I've stopped a few times to check I still had tyres on the wheels. It feels like you are driving in a really serious cross wind. Through the steering it feels like the wheels are dancing around of their own free will. Obviously I'll check all the obvious (tyre press etc) in the morning but has anyone else experienced this sudden change of character? :(
Ps I've noticed on just a quick visual check the front wheels look like they are both toeing out

Yeah I've got a Hunter alignment chap just down the road so I'm gonna have to find out when he's back after the Christmas break. I daren't let the misses drive it she'll be straight through the nearest hedge

Keep her away from your Z !!

Ha ha. Tbh she drives it a lot and never mentions the tram lining etc so must be totally remote from any feel of the car. I've been with her in the galaxy when she has understeered around a wet roundabout and been totally unaware  she often comments on the fact I always have my arms folded when she is driving...self preservation :D

Wiping the vomit from the windscreen is also a good indicator....

I'd pop to a local ATS if I were you. Sooner rather than later is better perhaps....stay away from Kwik Twits though...

I'll wait for the hunter I think. Expensive but a good job. They did my sisters TT and she said it was chalk and cheese

Sounds to me like you've bent the wishbone. It'll be difficult to tell whilst it's on the car unless you've got another you can offer up.

It happens more often than you'd think.

:o :o
Seriously?

+1 you can claim for ANY damage to your car if it was caused by a pothole, including damaged tyres / suspension etc

Yep although I think you need to take a picture of the pothole before its filled! which shouldn't be a problem...lol

Wouldn't waste your time on the council. Got to be able to prove that they knew about the pothole and had not repaired it in the legal timeframe allowed. Got to prove you hit it (any witnesses?). Its a complete PITA pursuing. I tried when I crashed out on a bike along with 3 others on a club run and got absolutely nowhere, even with witnesses, photos (bike, injuries, road etc) and a lawyer.
Just get it checked and fix it if needed. No point wasting your life on the rest!

I think youve got more chance of blood out of a stone with Telford and Wrekin council
Anyway I've just dropped it off for the hunter alignment. Looking from the front the wheels are definately toeing way out. Not sure what the proper figures are for the zed but we'll wait and see what the machine detects. Luckily being a very good accident repair centre they should find any damaged bits if there are any :(
