Have done a few minor upgrades and simple installs before on a few of my own cars but im planning my first fibreglass stealthy boot build in my new car so i thought i would hopefully share some ideas and progress with you guys.
My car is a Z4 coupe so internal space is at a premium, i know there are 2 holes where the factory fit subs go on the posher systems and i have though about using these as apparently 6x9's fit ok, the other option which is the way im thinking of going it to build a fibreglass build into the side of the boot taking up as little room as possible.
Because its a beemer the battery is conviently located in the boot and there is a gap big enough down the side of it for a compact amp.
Equipment wise, im not going going for either mega money or mega bass but a bit more bottom end to the standard system(for now, you know how these things go)
Sub - i already have a Kenwood KFC-WPS1000F 10" slim sub which is designed for sealed 17litre enclosure although i want to investigate the possibility of running it ported, dunno if some of you guys will be able to help with that.
for the amp i am thinking about the Sony XM-1S due to its physical size, power seems to match the sub and its got some good reviews.
so early days yet but im planning on starting soon, would be able to get pics if any one is intrested.
