Sub install behind seat

Has any one ever installed a sub behind the seats in the z4 roadster? i was looking at putting a 10" sub in a custom box but wanted to know if anyone has had a go first?

I can't see how a 10" could possibly fit.

I, like many others, have fitted 16.5cm (6.5inch) speakers in the cubby holes and there isn't much space for anything bigger. 6x9s would probably fit but I'm personally not a fan.

A slim 10" woofer which is starved of enclosure space. It would "work".

I didn't mean the depth Niel, but actually the diameter. The 6.5" diameter speakers take up nearly all the available space left behind after removal of the storage boxes dont they - surely anything like a 10" sub would therefore have to sit proud?

I'm in two minds as to whether I should change my simple 6.5" component install to 6.5" subs. Some of my main reasons not to, is the hassle of building an enclouse, being worried about buzzes & rattles, and actually that very punchy mid bass getting quite annoying/tiring after a while..
