sub install pictures please

hi everyone,
i have two 12inch subs that i would like to install in the boot of my 03 z4. i know it is overkill but i love symetry and snce i have been able to drive have wanted to do this. i was wondered if any of you had pictures of your own installs, that may inspire me

Dunno, but there's a lot of accoustic padding and the loud end seems to be in an anechoic chamber...

Think we've gone off at a tangent. Apologies furry.

Are you installing a custom cabinet for the subs, or have you already got an enclosure? Does your zed have the basic 6 speaker unit, or are you running a ten speaker system?

Personally I would opt for installing/upgrading the subs behind the seats. Keeps everything OEM looking and doesn't fill up the boot.

Would be good to see what you plan installing?

i currently have a 6 speaker system and feel that it should be better. i used to work as a car audiospecialist a few years back and as such have some equipment that i could use. i currently have:

2x 12" rockford fosgate punch 2 subs
a pair of infinity perfect 17cm components
1x 4 channel kicker amplifier
1x 2 channel mtx amplifier
1x 2 channel caliber competition amplifier
and an older top of the range alpine head unit(however i don't intend to take the factory unit out unless i really have to.

as for the boot i believe that it is more than big enough for my needs and as such don't mind handing a bit over to improving the sole weakness of my car as i see it.

i don't currently have a box and will probably build something to fit as i used to work in the industry, however i wondered what other members had done.

Can't help much with the sub box as i've not seen one in a Z4, all the bigger installs on the forum seem to have opted for subs behinds the seats.

Surely because of the bulkhead you can't port subs from the boot into the cabin ? Or have i got that wrong?

Whatever you decide to do please post some pics, can't get enough of ICE installs at the moment.

WOW. That's gonna pack some punch. Rockford Fosgate are mean bits of kit. Sounds like you've got your work cut out! Custom boxes open up your possibilities...

Not sure how many members on here have a comprehensive install like this. Please keep the pictures coming as you progress with the project! Look forward to seeing this one
