Style 63 Wheel Query

OK so plans have changed again and while it looks like I will be successful in adding a 2006 2.5i SE to the stable the purchase of the 107's has fallen through.

I have subsequently had my head turned by a set of 63's which granted I appreciate is a less than obvious choice.

So as before I was wondering if anyone has gone down the same route and I would be keen to hear what tyre choice they went with - obviously any associated photos would be much appreciated

" NeilP " had them on his Si coupe & it looked epic in pics but a 9j front & 10j rear is far from ideal with the offsets ( think from memory small spacers required to get the inners away from struts ) & the sheer weight of them would be hard not to notice .

Style 92 for me

Very nice and similar in style to the 63's - are they the same dimensions and did you have to do any other adjustments to successfully fit.

I much prefer this look over the smaller spoke designs and irrespective will be keen to remove the 104's that it comes with - apparently the run flat Bridgestone Potenza's that are fitted cost £140 each corner can't believe that :o

I had a set of 132's (same size/offset as 63's) fitted a while back. Looked awesome but felt like driving with a couple of planets stuck on the front. I had 20mm spacers on the front and 10's on the rear. Tyre wise I had 225/40 front and 255/35 rear. Car was on coilovers at the time and ruined the front arch liners when it was on its arse. Personally I wouldn't recommend them.

They look great too. - nice and simple and easy to clean

I was swithering over 230’s as they’re a similar style but not as big/heavy and closer to standard offset

Funnily enough I've got a set of 230's sitting in the garage that I had on the car for a day then removed. Still unsure what to do with them. 🤔

I think they look really nice on your car. The other ones have more of a dish and fuller spokes but as you said flip side was they were too big and heavy

Out of interest why did you take them off after a day? What did you replace them with?

I’ve just ordered a brand new set of 19 276’s direct from BMW too  At just over £400 including delivery it was rude not too

Already had 224's on it and preferred those to the 230's. Still love the look of the 230's though.

They suit it too but personally I prefer the 230’s

Hold onto them in case you fancy a change or until I get bored of mine and I fancy another change

Just as well we like different things or the world would be a boring place
