Morning all

Wanted to check- just gone to car and it’s completely flat battery- new battery too

It’s been stood since Sunday so just under a week

Now I’ve either left something ‘on’ or it’s the work I did last weekend that’s drained it

Lay weekend I joined into the multi plug at the back of the stereo an aux cable input- that’s it

I’m doubting myself, but that wouldn’t drain the battery at all would it?!? Nothing was plugged in but it’s the only change I’ve made

Thanks

Stuart

If the radio was on for some reason due to the way the connection is wired that would have done it.

Not left something plugged into the 12v socket in the ashtray?
Think it's a permanent live on the E85?

Nowt

And in experience it’s hard to leave something ‘on’ generally

So I’ll disconnect the plug to see if that makes a difference

Have you got a multi meter? Better to test than risk the health of your battery by running it flat again (they really don't like it!!)

Ummm

Fixed

Leaving the indicator stalk in park lights is going to be the root cause

Now off to have a word with myself in the corner

I may be some time

Well it obviously worked though, as no-one ran into your car on your drive. :poke:

To be honest I was actually going to ask if you'd left the lights on, but thought no, cos you'd see them.................

Never assume, check!
