Stuck satnav screen

Started the car this morning and the satnav screen started to swivel up as normal but then stuck halfway (it's now sticking out diagonally). I tried engine off and on again but it didn't move. Googled it and found a couple of posts suggesting I need a whole new screen ££££££ :-(

Has anyone else had this?
 
It could well be the stepper motor which does require a new screen. From memory though that is an intermittent issue. With the engine off i would close the screen by hand if it allows and see what happens next time.
 
Thanks. I pushed the screen up manually (didn't take a lot of force) as I figured at least I can use it even if it's stuck in the up position. But the screen remains blank. I'm guessing something within the motor has to trigger the screen on?
 
Read a thread about this on here the other day - solution for them was a battery disconnect, leave for a while the reconnect
