Stuck in Transport Mode near Oxford

After a dangerous drive to work today (mist on rear window with a van up my arse for 10 miles), I have finally been given the kick up the arse to get this sorted out (must have been a month now).

I have tried buying a cable from BMCables but the software wont install on my laptop, so I might have to resort to going to a dealer. Unless there is anyone near Oxford/Banbury that could help for some beer tokens?

Cheers,
Nick

Can help I'm afraid as in Sheffield. I'm sure someone will be along soon though.

Is it an intermittent problem you have with the car going into transport mode?

:o no way have you been driving for a month in limp mode??? lol

Tell me its not you only car?

no they dont go into limp mode when its gone into transport mode, you just loose air con, rear de mister and rear parking sensors (if fitted) and alarm is off.

taking battery off wont do a thing, it needs software update, and about 60 quid at dealers
been there got the teeshirt....

Ahh thats a shame I was hoping it would get abit nippier when i took it out of transport mode!

Got it fixed by Norton Autohaus in Banbury. The guy seemed really knowledgeable and specialises on BMW's so very happy with his service, only charged me £36 as well so happy days.
