Hi
Well while changing my rear springs I decided to change my disc's and pads while the wheels are off, my pads had some life left as did the disc's but too good an opportunity to change them.
Well after removing the wheels etc, and removing the calliper (undo x2 16mm bolts) also loosen the cap on the brake fluid reservoir. You will need to remove one bolt that holds the disc onto the hub. You may then find like me that the disc is completely stuck due to rust, DO NOT hit it with a hammer!
There is a simple solution to the problem.
A bolt (8mm) a large washer and a nut:-
Then simply grip the bolt with a pair of mole grips and tighten the nut, after a few turns your stuck disc will simply pop off:-
Very easy to do and wont damage anything!
Hope this helps anyone thinking of tackling changing your disc's
