Stubby's???

hello everyone!

May I trouble you for some advice on stubby ariels?
A) Is there a particular brand I should buy?
B) Is the reception of the radio affected?
C) Can I change it by simply screwing it in like any normal ariel or do I have to pay someone in a BMW overall about £1700.00 to fit it for me?

Most go for Mangowalks 3" some have a peugeot one

they ship to the UK. some report that reception is worse. but i cant say i've noticed.

Yup it should just unscrew from the rubber base.

I had problems doing this. worse case is the bolt shears off in the base and you have to replace the base which is about 10 quid from the stealers
 
I have the Peugeot/Citroen one (Part Number 6561.N3)
No problems fitting and radio reception seems fine although I only listen to FM so don't know if AM reception is affected.
