HI all spent time looking through the forum but can't see an answer to my question.
If i change my whip aerial for a stubby will i loose my dab reception or is there a special one for dab.

Whippy is the way to go. Who wants a litttle one when you can have a zingy, lithe, long one?

Yes you loose DAB and most importantly, you loose street cred :poke:
Don't listen to Fred. He has no cred. You can tell from this thread. He's got things goin on in his head. Maybe best left unsaid as it causes dread. Sanity? He hasnt got a shred. He should just stay in bed. And dream about whippy sandwiches, made with wholemeal bread.

Well said

This could be a good look with a few mods, what would my street credibility be like.

Oh thanks Chris, now everyone will think I'm mad :poke: :crazydude: :crazydude:

I'm fairly sure the DAB aerial is in the rear bumper. I've not experienced any noticeable loss of either normal or DAB stations since I changed to the proper aerial (admittedly I did this a week after buying the car).

It also looks much better, I'm afraid.

The dab aerial is in the rear bumper so will make no difference to the reception of it but may with the normal radio

Length doesn't matter, however in this case it does. Can't beat a bit of 'whippy' :whip:

You have to be very careful ... a 'stubby' is just the start ... before you know where you are you'll be lusting after black wheels, a black grill, spoilers front back and sides, a big wing on the back and probably fluffy dice. Your beautiful Z4 will look like a gypsy caravan! ...
