Stubby

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before but are the stubbys that are £9 quid on eBay as good as the oem BMW ones that are 25 quid ???

My car has sat nav and was worried the cheaper ones will offer crappy reception

Cheers everyone

I don't think the aerial is for the sat nav, just the radio.

I can't comment on the BMW ones but I've never had an issue with my cheap one.

this is the one i got, its a genuine item with 2 years warranty and works with sat nav. for the extra £11 its definatly worth it

SatNav antenna is (usually) mounted in the roof, behind the courtesy light, and is for GPS. I'm pretty sure that the only part the radio connection plays is with traffic alerts, so as long as the aerial/stubby picks up AM/FM reception, you won't have an issue. I have a cheap (circa £10) ebay one, it works fine.
