Best solution would have been for BMW to put it as an element in a rear heated windscreen, though despite early versions not being that good the one fitted in my troop carrier A3 picks up too many. Would have got rid of one of only a couple of things I dislike about my Z.

stubbyantenna.com sells a bunch of different ones. they have some that are adjustable. (stubby... but can be pulled out to a whip if you really need better reception for your drive). They also rate their antennas on reception so you know what you're buying.

Never ordered from them before so I can't comment on how good their customer service is.

Off a 2009 North American Honda Accord. Retainer bolt and nut fits in our hole. Secured the amp against the inside of the fender, since it doesn't hold against the aerial anymore. Reception is very good, coming from a wire coiled inside the fin and ran another one around the boot seal.

the 3" is left hand drive

actually the image of the 3" is reversed, just so both aerials can be seen togeather

does it matter if LHD or RHD which side the ariel is on? can't see why?

tbh it shouldn't be on either side it should be in the rear screen, has no one done a mod to delete it? If I were keeping my Z4MC I would defo be looking into it.
