Stubbie Aerials

I don't really like the stubbies, but the standard whippies look too long.

So I got a half-whippy!

A "whubby" I think is the common parlance for that particular rather poor incarnation.
#whippyelite member here. It's how God made 'em

Take yourself to a dark room sit down and appreciate the silence then say the name of the options to yourself - the correct solution will be immediately obvious

I buy CDs , but then encode them in a USB stick and/or an old iphone as an iPod.

I don't have the arm rest USB, only the glovebox one that allows you to import music into the hard drive. I've filled it with 12GB of music but I've been told it gets compressed and is not as good as CD quality.

I do like the old school routine of putting on CDs and listening start to finish as opposed to a Spotify playlist. The importer retro-fitted Bluetooth somehow so I have the option of Spotify and I've upgraded the mid range and tweeters to Bimmertech, its quite a good sound now.

There is a ‘classical’ thing about a CD..bet you still skip tracks :tumbleweed:

The upgrades to the door speakers does have a marked effect.

If you now have Bluetooth then you could always stream music from your phone..

The compressed stuff on the hard drive is poor.

In Scotland there are many areas with no 3G/4G coverage so I never have got into streaming ..

I actually use the Bluetooth to stream Absolute Radio - one of the many thing I miss from my 20 years in the UK. Their FM signal doesn't reach NZ
