Strut Replacement

Pretty certain my front left strut is bent. Alignment has been off and shop said they can't get it back perfect.I've been ripping through tires way too quick.

Anyhow, my 2004 has 100k miles now and I'm thinking it's time to replace the strut cartridges anyway. Never did this before, but thinking it can't be that difficult.

Looking for info on OEM replacement parts and other bits I might need or want to include during the job. Also any additional tools I might need (spring compressor, etc.) and a good source for these.

Thanks in advance!

I've done the work on other cars (Honda Prelude, Dodge Intrepid, and Honda van) but never on a Z4. In the past I have made use of the "loan-a-tool" program at Autozone and O'reilly auto parts for the spring compressor and other specialty tools I need.
