Hello,

Have i read somewhere there is an BMW option strut brace available for the z4m?

Also is it a worth while job?

OEM no longer available but StrongStrut (USA Company) do a customised strut set for BMW Z4Ms

Perry, you main bar doesn't appear to have the relief cut out. Do they do two types, or just include shims now to clear the engine components.

At any rate, they inspire a bit more confidence.

I'd recommend the Mason engineering one, probably the only worthwhile STB for our cars. And steel at that.

Vanne your engine bay really is pornographic! I keep finding myself lusting after replica CSL intakes lately and this isn't helping!

Thats not mine, it's Chris's. Mine has carbon fiber engine cover, and some lame ass STB, waiting for the group buy for this one. Cheers though

Do these really lead to a performance difference if not, why add more weight to the car?

I my case (just a 2.5, no ///M) I have a lot less trammlining & less steering wheel vibrations. Other then that just aestatics

Me too. Strangely, what I thought was a wheel balance issue also disappeared.

I fitted an OEM one to my Alpina and then thought I'd better tell the insurance company (direct line) who told me to take it off or the car would not be covered and that they would not insure a car with one fitted!

So I sold it on here

I'm with admiral to, and yes they didn't car.

I was generalising our car insurance industry tbh.

Whoa trust me, that's dirt cheap compared to here in Australia. I have to pay the equivalent of 600 quid per year (and that's a competitive price)!

I know it's cheap really. Just annoying that because of the mods getting insurance quotes is a pain.
