Hi im looking at buying a strut brace for my z4 coupe. Are they worth getting for this car? And what one would you reccomend, and where do you buy them from? Cheers

I fitted a genuine BMW one to my zed a few weeks back. Can't say that I've noticed any improvement, but the weather has been so awful I haven't had much of a chance to give it a good go...

Looks great though

I have a Strong Strut (group buy on the Forum) with the steel OEM firewall braces replace by aluminium ones to match the cross brace.

Not a significant amount of difference but does sharpen up turns and felt the difference under pressure around the 'Ring.

I use an OEM strut brace on the track (but have to take it off on the road for insurance reasons :headbang: ). It definitely stiffens the front and sharpens turn in when driving really hard. On rough surfaces it can make the car more skittish though.

As a more affordable piece of kit with the same driving dynamics, you may also think about buying a Wiechers "Domstrebe" via www.ebay.de. I have one in red, but it is also available in metal colour:

Looks almost like an OMP one. You guys really get stiffed for mods on insurance :( Have you not spoken to specific mods friendly insurance companies?
