Strut brace suggestions

Thanks Ben - that was the one I was looking at. Does it fit the 3.0? Everything I'm seeing says 2.5, but there isn't any real world difference I'd there, so it should fit right?
 
Should be fine. Thought the 2.5 and 3.0 were basically the same with different internals? Shouldn't be a problem with regards to space in the bay.
 
I had an ultra racing brace on my old celica, was good quality and had good customer service from them too
 
I can't see how you refit the bonnet alarm sensor with the Ultra one though. I emailed them years ago.... still waiting :tumbleweed:

I have fitted an Ultra Racing strut brace to my 2004 3.0 Z4. The bracket needed modifying but it can be done. Impressed with the finished job.

Hi All,

When I first bought the car and brought it back home it was very unnerving to drive. The car had run flats which are horrendous. The bottom bushes were standard and had play in them. The car tram lined and was vague. Fitting poly bushes and the strut brace has improved the front end> Also changed the tyres to Continental SP3's.

The strut brace is a must to stiffen the front end up.

Hope this helps. I remember having to modify the bracket and used a bit of white marker to ensure the switch was in the right place under the bonnet.

Can you detail what you had to do to make the bonnet sensor fit too please, with pics if needed?
