Strut brace question…

Does anyone know for certain whether a strut brace for a 35i/is will fit a 6 cylinder E89.

It definitely won’t fit an N20 as the engine sits higher, but does the 35i engine sit lower than the N52?

I never trial fitted the Wiechers strut brace on my 30i before I sold it, so trying to get clarity as don’t want to let a fellow forum member down with this

Depends which of the several versions it is…

Adjustable..fixed, aluminium with c/f…

Looks like most N54 versions fit N52s which makes sense as the engine casings and airbox are very similar

Years ago car mechanic told me Ford made the Sierra too stiff. They had to redesign parts to make the body work flex a bit more. Shaking themselves to bits.
So if BMW didn't fit extra bracing is it actually required?
Body flexing helping with stability?

I noticed after mounting a camera just in front of the windstop how the body twists when driving. The video shows the car slightly rolling side to side when driving.

The E89 structure is pretty stiff…tests by Bimmerworld showed that the later E90 structures don’t flex much compared to earlier models…their view and FWIW my view is for the E89 it’s cosmetic bling…I couldn’t detect any impact on the steering, handling either on my 20i or later on the 35is where weight, weight distribution and power should have a great impact..
