The fit was spot on, everything lined up and it missed the oil cap. So all good,
There was one small problem, a switch that tells you if the bonnet is open (light comes up on dash). It's situated at the back of the bonnet where the 3rd point of connetion is.. (triangle part of the brace that connects at the rear).
I just bypassed the switch. I will relocate later, just need to extend the bracket.
I did look at a lot of braces but hard to find one that misses the oil cap on a e86 2008.

This is where the brace came from,
The site does not list one for a 2008 e86.
It's listed as a e85. But all the same fitment.

just had a look at that site and i love some of the braces they offer, all one piece designs so these should really make a difference, i wish they have incorporated the stock bolt locations for the firewall braces however as the unused pieces by the strut top look messy.
i may even try the rear strut brace although from the pic i can't see how this mounts to the car, and the rear lower brace, that looks like a very nice piece actually, it must be stronger than the stock one as its all linked and one piece as apposed to the separate bars of the stock unit.
