Hi guys

I have an e85 with steering wheel controls but no Bluetooth. I want to have Bluetooth added with streaming through the head unit and utilising the steering wheel controls.

Looking for suggestions on the best/easiest system you use for this on your cars

Cheers Jay

This.

You can control using the buttons on the radio... not sure on the steering wheel controls as I don’t have them.

I like the sound of the dice media bridge. Is it a day instal or best to leave it to the experts

Its a straight forward easy install couple of hours first time, I did mine hardest part was finding the right media bridge. If you manage to get one and you live near to Cambridgeshire then i dont mind giving you a hand.

Sorry i should pay more attention, Liverpool isnt near Cambs, well if you find one i can send you some pics of when i did mine, but it is straight forward and easy to install.

Yup media bridge works well but gets its knickers in a real twist with ios10 and above . If you dont have an iPhone then I guess this isn't a problem.

If you could send me some pics that would be great. Cheers Jay

Sorry thought i had more pics
media bridge connects to the two cd changer connectors

Then remove the cubby hole behind the drivers seat and this will give you access to pass the cable through from the boot.

Its then a case of running the cable along the centre tunnel trim, then remove the ashtray (1xscrew) and place the media in the room behind the ash tray. If you have a mic, this then needs to be connected to the media bridge and located in a conveinient place ( mine is clipped above the instrument cluster). The mic connector is a bit delicate so take care when feeding it up towards the media bridge. Mics can be ordered off ebay.

Thats about as much as there is to it.

I just fitted a Parrot MKi9000 (the one with no display, just the small remote) and due to the wiring on mine, it streams the music from my phone into the head unit, rather than using the Parrot's own amp, so the sound quality is as good as the original radio/CD through the 10 speaker DSP system.

All done behind the headunit, no other disassembly required.

Does anyone know where I can buy the Dice Media bridge from? Not available on Amazon or am I looking for the wrong thing?
