Stratstone BMW Chesterfield inspection costs

Just for info really... picked a part up from spares dept and enquired about service costs.
Inspection 1 £399
Inspection 2 £599

Sounds steep to me!
 
Yes, would say you can do better at main dealer. I reckon you could get the costs to nearly half that.
 
Stratstone (Jaguar) in Manchester (where I bought my Z4 from last year as a secondhand car) were fucking useless fucked me up hill and down dale with one repair after another on a roof motor - 8 moths later (and after the car was out of warranty ) the roof failed ! I contacted them to inform them that because of their shitty previous repairs the roof still didn't work !
I decide after all the hassle to get it repaired by Darren Wood Stockport (superb job great garage) they repaired the roof motor and the subsequent shoddy work by Stratstone. To be fair after ."some discussion" Stratstone paid approx 80% of the repair bill at Darren Woods.

For the future:- I would avoid them !

Yeah 3.0si...Got my inspection 1 in 3000 miles so thought I'd start looking around. Can't find any 'bmw specialists' in the Chesterfield / Sheffield area...no reviews anyway.
 
I use Stratstone Chesterfield. Go on the maindealerdiscount website and get a cheaper price. Then call them and tell them where you got the quote (I.e. Which dealer) and then they will price match. I do that every time with them.

If you're willing to drive to Doncaster I can recommend AutoTechnics, good guys and prices are reasonable.
