Hi, a couple of days ago I was putting the Z away. I had the half cover on then was nearly finishig puttig the car cover on when suddenly the roof started opening, it did not open fully because of the car covers.
The keys were in my pocket, i thought while I was bending down the key must have been pressed for the roof to open. Next day I tried to open the roof by pressing the open button 3 times but nothing happened, just in case it did somehow.
Any thoughts what happened???
Rgds.

Try pressing the open button and keep it pressed until the roof is down and the red 'roof' light by the switches goes off. If you were leaning against the car you might have done this without knowing. If you release the pressure on the button the roof just stops moving.

I think its described as "3 presses" because:

1st Press: Unlocks drivers side (hold now and roof wont open)
2nd Press: Unlocks passenger side (hold now and roof wont open)
3rd press and HOLD: Roof should open.

That's how mine works most the time... i think. Ultimate driving machine :driving:

Bravo  Imagine that. Some one was nice and that caused somebody else to do something nice. What a lovely concept.
Seems like I read about this in history books. I wonder if it could catch on ....

Sure enough, its just has you said. Pressed open key, on the third press kept the pressure on the button and the roof opened. Is it pre programmed. Or is there a Carly hiding somewhere?
Cheers guy,

Or you have a module that requires you to press unlock three times to open the roof

No not on mine - press open and keep it pressed and the roof opens. If at any stage you let the pressure off (after the doors have unlocked) then it all stops and you have to get in and use the roof switches on the centre console. I thought mine was the factory setting.

I'll be honest - mines a bit foggy sometimes. I could swear I've had it work from the first press + hold... but so far most reliable is unlocking my passenger side first as well. *shrug*
