Strange wiper issue

odd issue. wiper will do 10 swipes then relay clicks and it stops mid screen. won’t operate again for 10/15 mins.

wiper motor was sat in a puddle of water due to a blocked drain. cleaned out the contacts, replaced the relay (what a stupid place to put them)

still same issue, so you reckon the contacts are fubar and a new motor will solve it?

Classic case of migrating grease covering the contact plate and contact points. Make sure you clean all the grease off the contact plate and use some wet&dry paper to clean up the contact faces to ensure a good connection with the plate. Grease contamination on that plate usually comes to light when the wipers dont park correctly when switched off. Strip and clean solves that issue.

issue still there:

replaced the motor, replaced the relay.

the wipers work for 10 seconds, during this all functions work, so you can switch speed, use the spray etc. then they stop,

they operate again after maybe 3/5 mins. but only for 10 swipes,

have tried disconnecting the rain sensor, what else can i replace? is there a missile reset?
