Strange things?

I've only just noticed when driving tonight as I rev higher my heating fans blow harder (you can hear it).

Then when reversing up my drive I noticed the reversing lights getting brighter as I revved it too.

Is this normal?
 
No, that sounds like an alternator type issue? I have not seen / heard that with mine at all.
 
Have you checked your battery?

Could it be that it's not holding a full charge and you are noticing 'normal' speed and lights when the engine /alternator adds extra voltage - just a thought - I'm no mechanic or electrician - best to check both alternator and battery I would have thought.

+1 for battery.. put it on a long charge or consider replacing mine does it with reverse lights; and the car is sat for two out of every three weeks - going to get another trickle charger for mine
 
It also as a slow / lazy start.

It's does the light and fan thing even after a long drive and in daily use?
 
if you have a local garage you know get them to do a voltage test on the battery and then with the engine running as this should then give a reading of what the alternator is producing in voltage terms, if you do need a new battery i would probably go BMW as my son got one from Halfords no problem with the battery its just a bit smaller and needs a spacer to keep it tight :thumbsup:
