strange rattle

Just been reading this Bing, i have the loud squeak with the roof up however, not sure if this matters.

Getting a passenger in there with you is going to help a lot though.

ok so ive been sat in the passenger seat and had my girlfriend drive, also took out the passenger side cubby bucket/storage compartment to get a better view of where it might be coming from! it sounds like it coming from within the bulkhead itself! anyone had this before?

So I've now found that putting the roof down gets rid of the rattle all together, any ideas what this could be?

just want to bump this as i've been told that my rear spring is broken. this has confused the situation for me as it sounds like a plastic creaking and not a metal creaking? it also doesn't do it on every bump? if it was the spring would it not be creaking on every little bump in the road?
