Strange noise

Hi there I wondered if anyone could help me with a problem I have with my z4 sometimes when I tap the accelerator I get a noise that sounds like air is being pushed out but I have checked all the intake pipes from the air filter box to the engine and everything seems fine there is some slight creasing in one of the rubber boots next to the engine but I can't see that making the noise as it's not actually cracked just surface marks.
Any help is much appreciated
On a dice note under the air filter there is a small hole is this normal or is this something I need to sort

Never heard that one before, hope someone can shed some light on the issue for you :thumbsup:
 
Hi, have a better look at the inlet boot that feeds the engine as it's common for them to split where the separate finger spurs off.
The hole under the filter is normal, it's just a drain hole :thumbsup:

Thanks for the replies I have looked at the boot near the engine and the smaller hose does have surface cracks but nothing I can see that is split right through I'll order one and change it over hopefully that will cure the problem.
