strange knocking !

been driving the zed lots more just lately due to the good weather but theres a knocking type of noise sounds like its inside the dash !! any one any ideas ? :?
 
:D Should be easy one this. pop lid at front you will see above the engine from the bulk head two black struts in the shape of a V V to the front
Just tighten up and enjoy. Part of living with a Zed. :)

my first thought also
 
just checked these and the ends near the bulkhead were quite loose ! tightened them all up really tight , ill let you guys know later if the knocking has gone , cheers guys :thumbsup:
 
How tight should they be? I've tightened mine as much as I can by hand (without hitting the socket), and I'm still having this problem.

Sounds like a loud knocking noise coming from the dash; same as the person above.
 
Wow! I just bought a 2006 z4 7 months ago. Had the same knocking in the dash. So irritating the wife wouldn't drive it. Just tightened the bolts on the v brace ten min ago. noise is GONE GONE GONE. Thanx "TINO"
