Straight "Shotgun" Pipes

Did the seller send his Bank Details or were they given verbally ? Is it even remotely possible the cash has gone to the wrong account?

The account details were written down by the seller in Private Message

I know for a fact my side is good,i spoke to someone at my bank, and they confirmed the money has moved out of my account into tthe account at RBS in Sterling Scooby gave me the details for ,she also gave me the internal Bank transfer number, which confirms the transaction and I have issued to him

Well he's been on the forum today, but not actually contributed since 19th May.
Surely he must be seeing all this discussion going on?

He’s opened my latest PM today

How can 2 banks agree the transfer has occurred and he says it hasn’t
I don’t even have any proof that he has even checked

Trying to be positive I can only assume he has given me details of another account he has and he’s checking the wrong details

Although I have resent all the transaction details to him on several occasions

Don’t know if it’s available in all banks but on my online banking you can generate/print a receipt of the transaction which shows the details including recipients account details.

They’ve also recently set up the additional step of checking the name and account number is correct when setting up a new payee. I take it that’s not something you had to do?

Saying that, all of that is immaterial if you’re not getting any answers to your communication.

Well he’s returned my PM then deleted it

I paid a guy at the same time I sent the money for the exhaust, for some seats and did exactly the same transaction from bank to bank, money sorted and I even sorted collection no delivery, which I now have in my possession

Well it's getting increasingly dubious, to say the least.
So he hasn't actually replied with any kind of explanation? Just deleted it?
He must realise this is all being documented?
Not that this helps you being out of pocket.

The guys a con man...short and sweet. Get in touch with your bank and request a charge back from his account.

Banks cannot do this

Don't know if this applies to private transactions in the UK, or bank transfers (can't see why not) but I have used it successfully in Aus. Bit of paperwork involved but straightforward process, and only had to do it once in many years of buying over the internet.

Why has he changed his tune? At first it was a personal reason, now the money has not arrived.
Why has he taken so long to tell you the money has not reached him? He should have mentioned this straight away.

Do you have his address as you could go to the small claims court. I thinks it's £25 for a small claims court online.

Where did "he" change "his tune"?

"He" logged back on after a while when "he" saw messages that the item was bought.

"He" prepared packaging the item to send, checked to see if payment had been received, which it wasn't. So "he" got back in touch with the buyer...
