Stormforce cover proves its' worth

So, I've been out of the Netherlands on business in Hamburg for a couple of weeks and got back to NL just as storm Ciara hit yesterday.
Before I toddled off to DE I put the Stormforce cover on the zed (bought from fellow forum member agrimes1989) as I'm waiting for an opportunity to clear out the scuttle in the hope of curing the water ingress issue.

Got back expecting the cover to have blown up over it's arse but surprised to see it in place and more importantly, intact.
Had a quick peek underneath and ofc there's a bit of condensation on the bodywork but no rubbing marks, as far as I can see.
Got through last night ok too and was still in place by the morning.
Still blowing a gale today and yes, it flaps about a bit and there will probably be some rubbing marks on corners and other areas but nothing I'm sure a quick detail couldn't sort. That's a job on the roster for summer..

Inside, happily it's still bone dry underneath the carpet on the passenger side after I previously used 6 towel changes stuffed under there to soak up the fekin swimming pool in the footwell!

SO, highly recommended from me if you want to keep the zed dry through a storm. It's certainly proven its' description.
One thing I would say though is the fit at the front isn't all-encompassing. at the back it's fine and hooks under the rear bumper neatly, but at the front it doesn't hook around the corners, at least on mine it doesn't.
You'll also obviously need to remove your aerial. I have a stubby and decided to remove it as it would only end up eventually punching a hole through the cover imo.

Thanks again Andy!

I use one of these on my Hillman Imp...fantastic cover...i took the car out on Saturday for the first time since October..
Absolutely bone dry, cover hasnt lifted once through our stormy winter thanks to the underbody straps
Not cheap but you do get what you pay for.

A stormforce cover wrecked the clearcoat on my black z3m a few years ago. It was a LOT of work getting it anywhere near back to normal. On a couple of edges it went all the way through the laquer and had to be resprayed. Maybe I didn’t strap it up tight enough but I was really reluctant to use it again after that.

Good to hear mate . I am real fussy with the bodywork on my car , taking it to shows under some brutal led lights and I never had any sort of rub through or scuffs/scratches from the cover . Surprised at the front fit ; was the same on mine but I have a large front splitter that I thought was the cause of that .

This is why I won't use car covers! :(

 +1 mine rubbed through clear coat too when used on a previous car. Bone dry when periodically checked so looked ok, only saw the damage when completely removed so too late! Never repaired/restored paint completely. Left dull patches on a few corners and edges
