^^ Why not? It's not the one that, when shifted on, will cause a release of about 1000 cruise missiles to any destination you choose is it? :driving:

Dam it! I just had just had to get one as well. I've no idea what it looks like but its black leather and chrome, Ben from Chromeline Design says it great and that's good enough for me.

Be prepared for another "nob" posting on this site

Does it feel alot more weighted than the stock knob?

I know alot of people with the heavy knobs say it aids in shifting...

If I'm really honest, I'm not convinced about it from a performance point of view yet. Some people do say that the heavier weight "aids shifting", but I'd say shifting was easier with the old knob. The likely cause of this is because the new knob is countersunk, so reduces the leverage you have. Whereas before, you could change gear at a flick of a wrist, you have to be a bit more manly (for want of a better word!) with your changes now.

But aesthetically, I think it looks 10 times better. I might play with the mounting a bit, and see if I can erm.. slide it further up the shaft....

Right.

That's enough about knobs and shafts...

I've been interested in a new shift knob but haven't found a good one that also lights up.

Is it a lost cause.

Mine arrived yesterday after calling Bilal on Thursday - he really is enthusiastic about his product!

And with good reason - not only does it look so much better than the OEM knob, I've found it's made a noticeable difference in the quality of the gearchange too.

It's still nowhere near as good as the S2000's change but hopefully the CDV mod will get me closer again.

Anyway, gratuitous pics coming...

Oh, and I managed to avoid smashing myself in the face while removing the old knob too, which is always a bonus... :P
